About the Author

In 1969, Rita Kleve received a BA degree and taught for 10 years in the public school system. When the first of three sons was born, she became a stay-at-home mother. Together with her husband, Gene, they own and operate their farm and ranch partnership. Rita states, “Being actively involved in raising three fine sons has been my highest educational pursuit. Here, on the family farm, we have learned the value of hard work and found strength in God and family life.” Rita is a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Holyoke, Colorado, where she serves on several committees and sings in the choir.
